To install the Electro-Voice EVU-1082/95 Two-Way Subwoofer, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that you have a thorough knowledge of the techniques and regulations of suspending objects overhead. The subwoofer can be suspended using the integral M8 suspension points, but it is important to comply with all current national, federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding suspending objects.
2. Inspect the wall, ceiling, or structure where you plan to suspend the subwoofer to ensure it is capable of supporting the weight. The user is responsible for making sure the structure is suitable for suspension.
3. If you are using any hardware to suspend the subwoofer that is not associated with Electro-Voice, ensure that it is suitable for the task and meets all safety requirements.
4. If you are suspending the subwoofer, it is recommended to inspect the system at least once per year or as required by laws and regulations. If any signs of weakness or damage are detected, take immediate remedial action.
5. The EVU-1082/95 Two-Way Subwoofer comes with a universal U-Bracket for mounting. To assemble the U-Bracket, orient the two bracket rails and insert four M5 pan head screws through the first and second bracket rails. Securely fasten the four nuts.
6. Remove the M8 flat head screws from each end of the subwoofer enclosure. Position the enclosure inside the universal U-Bracket and place an M8 rubber washer between the enclosure's xxxx hole and the U-Bracket on each side. Securely fasten one M8 pan head xxxx through the bracket, washer, and enclosure on each side of the assembly. Position the subwoofer at the desired angle and securely tighten the M8 flat head screws.
7. If you prefer to mount the subwoofer to a wall, use two 5/16-inch fasteners or two 1/4-inch fasteners (including washers) to mount the U-Bracket to the wall. Ensure that the wall mounting is done according to all safety regulations and requirements.
