To connect the MartinLogan Motion 15 Bookshelf Loudspeakers to your amplifier, follow these steps:
1. Turn off your amplifier before making or breaking any signal connections.
2. Use high-quality speaker cables for optimal sound quality. Avoid using wires with a gauge higher (thinner) than #16.
3. Connect the speaker cables to the signal input section on the rear electronics panel of the Motion 15 speakers.
4. Use spade connectors for optimum contact and ease of installation.
5. Hand tighten the binding posts on the speakers, but do not overtighten. Do not use a tool to tighten the binding posts.
6. Be consistent when connecting the speaker cables to the signal input terminals. Assign the same color cable lead to the (+) terminal on both the left and right channel speakers.
7. If you experience a lack of bass or a lack of a tight, coherent image, you may need to reverse the (+) and (-) leads on one speaker to ensure proper polarity.
Please refer to the MartinLogan Motion 15 Bookshelf Loudspeaker User's Manual for more detailed instructions and illustrations on connecting the speakers to your amplifier.
