To connect your Bowers & Wilkins A7 to your wireless network, follow these steps:
1. Unplug all cables from the A7.
2. Connect an Ethernet cable from the A7's rear panel Ethernet socket to an Ethernet socket on your computer.
3. Connect the power cable to the A7 and plug it into a power outlet. The A7 will power on, and the indicator will pulse red.
4. Wait for the A7 indicator to start flashing yellow.
5. Press and hold the "+" volume button on the A7 for 4 seconds. The A7's indicator will turn solid purple once the wired network connection is established.
6. Open an internet browser on your computer and enter the A7's default network address (http://169.254.1.1) in the browser's address field. Press "return" to access the A7 setup page.
7. On the setup page, you have the option to change the A7's name. Enter a new name if desired.
8. Select your home network name from the drop-down list and enter the password in the appropriate box. Make sure to type the password correctly.
9. Click on the "Apply" button, then close the A7 setup page.
10. Disconnect the Ethernet cable from the A7.
11. The A7 indicator will change to steady purple once the wireless network connection is established. This process may take up to 3 minutes.
Note: If the A7 fails to connect to your home wireless network, double-check the network password you entered. If necessary, you can perform a factory reset by pressing and holding the reset button on the rear panel for 2 seconds. Refer to the manual for more information on the factory reset procedure.
Once your A7 is connected to your wireless network, you can configure iTunes to use it as an output device for streaming audio. Select the A7 as an output option in the AirPlay menu within iTunes. Your music will now play through the A7 wirelessly.
