To connect the MXL REVELATION Condenser Microphone to your audio interface or mixer, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that your audio interface or mixer has a 48V phantom power supply. This is necessary for the operation of the microphone.
2. Locate the XLR cable included with the MXL REVELATION microphone package. This cable has a male XLR connector on one end and a female XLR connector on the other.
3. Connect the male end of the XLR cable to the output of your audio interface or mixer. This is typically labeled as "MIC" or "INPUT."
4. Connect the female end of the XLR cable to the XLR input on the MXL REVELATION microphone. The XLR input is located on the bottom of the microphone.
5. Once the connections are secure, turn on the phantom power supply on your audio interface or mixer. This will provide the necessary power for the microphone to operate.
6. Adjust the input gain on your audio interface or mixer to achieve the desired recording level. Start with a low gain setting and gradually increase it until you achieve a good signal level without clipping.
7. You are now ready to use the MXL REVELATION Condenser Microphone for recording. Make sure to select the appropriate polar pattern and adjust any other settings on the microphone or power supply according to your recording needs.
Please refer to the MXL REVELATION Condenser Microphone User Manual for more detailed instructions and information on using the microphone.
