To connect the MXL TEMPO USB microphone to your computer, please follow these steps:
1. Unpack your microphone and make sure you have all the components, including the USB 2.0 high-speed cable.
2. xxxx the microphone stand mount to the desktop stand.
3. Separate the desktop stand's legs and place it on a flat surface.
4. Hold the microphone upright and firmly in one hand.
5. Secure the microphone to the desktop stand by screwing the black mounting ring into the microphone's base.
6. Adjust the angle of the microphone by loosening the thumbscrew on the side of the stand adapter.
7. Connect one end of the USB cable to the microphone's connector.
8. Connect the other end of the USB cable to your computer's USB port.
For Windows XP:
- Close any audio recording applications.
- Go to the Start Menu and select Control Panel.
- Select Sounds and Audio Devices.
- Click on the Audio tab and select USB audio CODEC as the default device for Sound playback and Sound Recording.
- Adjust the headphone volume and microphone volume as desired.
For Windows Vista/Windows 7:
- Close any audio recording applications.
- Go to the Start Menu and select Control Panel.
- Double-click the Sound icon.
- Select the Playback tab and set the MXL TEMPO USB microphone as the default audio device.
- Adjust the headphone volume and microphone volume as desired.
For Mac OS X:
- Click on the Apple icon at the top of the screen and select System Preferences.
- Click on the Sound icon.
- Select the Output tab and choose the device named USB Audio CODEC.
- Adjust the headphone volume.
- Select the Input tab and choose the device named USB Audio CODEC.
- Adjust the microphone volume.
