To connect the Neumann TLM-102 microphone to your audio equipment, follow these steps:
1. Make sure you have a power supply unit, microphone preamplifier, mixing console, or other equipment that provides 48V phantom power in accordance with IEC 61938.
2. Use a suitable cable to connect the microphone to the microphone input of your audio equipment. The connector assignments can be found in the "Technical data" section of the manual.
3. Ensure that the connectors are locked correctly when connecting the cables.
4. Address the microphone from the side where the Neumann logo is located.
5. Gradually increase the volume of the connected equipment and set the gain of the equipment to avoid distortion at the highest sound pressure level.
Note: It is important to minimize the volume of connected playback and recording equipment before connecting the microphone to avoid loud noise that can damage loudspeakers or your hearing.
