The Behringer C-3 microphone offers three different pickup patterns: cardioid, omnidirectional, and figure eight. To select the desired pickup pattern, locate the switch at the back of the microphone.
- For cardioid pattern (switch position: middle), the microphone is most sensitive to sound coming from in front and to a lesser extent from the sides. This pattern is suitable for recording individual instruments or vocals within a group.
- For figure eight pattern (switch position: left), the microphone is most sensitive to sound coming from directly in front or behind, while attenuating sound from the sides. This pattern is suitable for interviews or creating natural reverb effects.
- For omnidirectional pattern (switch position: right), the microphone is equally sensitive to sound from all directions. This pattern is ideal for capturing a natural sound or when multiple sound sources surround the microphone.
Please refer to the user manual for more detailed instructions on using the pickup patterns and adjusting the microphone settings.
