To connect the Recordio GAM-U12 microphone to your computer, follow these steps:
1. Attach the shock mount to the boom arm.
2. Insert the microphone into the shock mount.
3. Connect the XLR cable (included in the package) to the microphone and your audio interface or mixer. The XLR connector on the microphone should be securely plugged into the corresponding XLR input on your audio interface.
4. Make sure your audio interface or mixer provides 48V phantom power, as the GAM-U12 requires phantom power to operate. Consult your audio interface or mixer's user manual to enable phantom power if necessary.
5. Secure the boom arm to your desk using the clamp provided. Ensure that the clamp is tightened securely to prevent the microphone from falling or tipping over.
6. Position the microphone by adjusting the boom arm to the desired height and angle. Make sure the microphone is facing your sound source, such as your mouth for vocals or the instrument you are recording.
7. Attach the included pop filter in front of the microphone to reduce plosive sounds (such as "p" and "b" sounds) during recording.
8. Connect your audio interface to your computer using the appropriate cables.
9. Open your recording software on your computer and select the GAM-U12 as the input device in the software's settings or preferences.
10. Start recording and adjust the microphone's gain or sensitivity as needed using the controls on your audio interface or mixer.
Please refer to the user manual provided with your Recordio GAM-U12 microphone set for more detailed instructions and illustrations.
