To change the polar pattern of the LCT 640 TS microphone, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the microphone is in Dual Output Mode.
2. Connect output A of the microphone to your microphone preamp, audio interface, or mixing console using a standard 3-pin XLR cable.
3. Connect output B of the microphone to your second microphone preamp channel, audio interface, or mixing console using the included adapter cable.
4. Turn on 48V phantom power on both channels.
5. Press and hold the center pushbutton on the microphone for 2 seconds to enter Dual Output Mode. The status indicator will light up green.
6. Use your mixing console or DAW to create the desired polar pattern or use the Polarizer plugin provided by Lewitt.
7. Adjust the input gain on your preamp to the same amplification for both channels. This is essential to create the polar patterns accurately.
By following these steps, you can change and fine-tune the polar pattern of the LCT 640 TS microphone before and after recording during post-production.
