To hook up your BIC DV62si 2-Way Surround Speakers to your amplifier, follow these steps:
1. Make sure your amplifier is turned off throughout the procedure.
2. Choose the appropriate speaker wire for your setup. Consult your audio dealer if you're unsure which wire to use.
3. Identify the polarity of your speaker wire. Most speaker wire is polarity coded, with one side labeled as (+) positive and the other as (-) negative.
4. On the back of your amplifier, locate the speaker terminals for each channel. They are usually labeled (+) and (-) and may be color coded.
5. On the back of the BIC DV62si speakers, you will find color-coded speaker terminals. The red terminal is for the (+) positive wire, and the black terminal is for the (-) negative wire.
6. Connect the speaker wire to the amplifier and the speakers. Ensure that the (+) positive wire is connected to the corresponding (+) terminal and the (-) negative wire is connected to the corresponding (-) terminal. Make sure the connections are tight and close fitting.
7. Inspect the connections for any frays or stray strands of wire touching both the (+) and (-) terminals, as this can cause a short and potentially damage your equipment.
8. Repeat the process for each speaker in your setup.
9. Once all the connections are made, you can turn on your amplifier and enjoy your BIC DV62si 2-Way Surround Speakers.
Note: It's important to consult your amplifier's owner's manual for specific instructions on speaker hook-up, as different amplifiers may have slightly different configurations.
