To connect the Audix CX212B Condenser Microphone to your audio equipment, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that your audio equipment has a "mic level" input. This is where you will plug in the CX212B microphone.
2. The CX212B requires phantom power to operate properly. Most professional mic preamps and mixing devices provide phantom power (48 volts recommended). Make sure your equipment has phantom power available.
3. Plug the CX212B microphone into the "mic level" input on your audio equipment using a 3-pin XLR cable. The male XLR connector on the microphone should be connected to the corresponding female XLR input on your equipment.
4. Once connected, ensure that the channel for the CX212B microphone is muted or the volume of the system is turned down before plugging or unplugging the microphone. Failure to do so may result in a loud "popping" noise that could damage the speakers in your audio system.
Note: If your equipment does not have phantom power, you will need to use a separate phantom power supply, such as the Audix APS2.
