To change the drill bit on the DeWalt DCK240C2 cordless drill, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the drill is turned off and the battery is removed for safety.
2. Locate the chuck on the front of the drill, which is the part that holds the drill bit.
3. Hold the drill with one hand and rotate the chuck sleeve counterclockwise to loosen it.
4. Once the chuck sleeve is loose, you can insert the desired drill bit into the chuck.
5. Align the flat sides of the drill bit with the jaws of the chuck.
6. Tighten the chuck sleeve by rotating it clockwise with your hand until it is securely tightened around the drill bit.
7. Give the chuck a final twist by hand to ensure it is fully tightened and the drill bit is secure.
8. Reinstall the battery and you are ready to use the drill with the new drill bit.
