To connect the Neumann M147 Cardioid Tube Condenser Microphone to your audio setup, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that you have the N 149 A power supply unit that comes with the microphone.
2. Connect the included KT 8 eight-core microphone cable to the microphone's 8-pin connector.
3. Connect the other end of the KT 8 cable to the corresponding 8-pin connector on the N 149 A power supply unit.
4. Make sure the power supply unit is plugged into a power outlet.
5. Connect an XLR cable from the XLR output of the N 149 A power supply unit to your audio interface or mixer.
6. If your audio interface or mixer has phantom power, make sure it is turned off as the N 149 A power supply unit provides the necessary power for the microphone.
7. Once all connections are made, turn on the N 149 A power supply unit.
8. Wait a few minutes for the tube in the M147 microphone to reach its stable operating condition.
9. Adjust the gain or input level on your audio interface or mixer to achieve the desired recording level.
