To set a conversion rate for the Euro Currency Conversion feature on the Casio HS-8VA calculator, follow these steps:
1. Press the AC* (% (RATE SET) button.
2. Wait until "Euro", "SET", and "RATE" appear on the display.
3. Input the desired conversion rate using the numeric buttons. For example, if the conversion rate is 1 euro = 1.95583 DM (Deutsche marks), you would input 1.95583*2.
4. Press the [%] (RATE SET) button.
5. The display will show "Euro", "RATE", and the set conversion rate (e.g., 1.95583).
To check the set rate, you can press the AC*1 button followed by the Euro (RATE) button to view the current set rate.
Note: If you are using the HL-820VER model, use the (IAC CIAC) button instead of AC*1.
When inputting rates, keep in mind the following guidelines:
- For rates 1 or greater, input up to six digits.
- For rates less than 1, input up to 8 digits. This includes the integer digit "0" and leading zeros. However, only six significant digits (counted from the left and beginning with the first non-zero digit) can be specified.
Example rates:
- 0.123456
- 0.0123456
- 0.0012345
