To perform tax calculations on the Casio MS-80B calculator, follow these steps:
1. To set a specific tax rate:
- Press the (SET) button until "SET" appears on the display.
- Press the (TAX RATE) button.
- Enter the desired tax rate using the numeric keypad (e.g., for a 5% tax rate, enter 5).
- Press the (SET) button again to save the tax rate.
2. To calculate tax on a specific amount:
- Enter the amount you want to calculate tax for using the numeric keypad.
- Press the multiplication (*) button.
- Enter the tax rate using the numeric keypad.
- Press the (+) button to add the tax to the amount.
- The result will be displayed on the screen.
3. To calculate the price without tax:
- Enter the total amount including tax using the numeric keypad.
- Press the division (/) button.
- Enter the tax rate using the numeric keypad.
- Press the (-) button to subtract the tax from the total amount.
- The result will be displayed on the screen.
Note: After setting a tax rate, you can check the currently set rate by pressing the designated button (as mentioned in the manual) followed by the (TAX RATE) button.
