To drain the water from the air tank of the Makita MAC100Q air compressor, follow these steps:
1. Set the pressure switch lever to the "OFF" position.
2. Using the air tool or accessory, bleed the tank pressure down to zero.
3. Locate the drain valve at the bottom of the air tank.
4. Open the drain valve by turning it counterclockwise.
5. Allow the water to drain completely from the tank.
6. Close the drain valve by turning it clockwise.
7. The air compressor is now ready for storage or further use.
Note: If the drain valve is plugged, release all air pressure first. The valve can then be removed, cleaned, and reinstalled. After draining the water, close the drain valve securely to prevent air leaks. Regularly draining the water from the air tank helps prevent corrosion and maintains the performance of the air compressor.
