The calculator will automatically switch between solar power and battery power modes based on the available light. In well-lit environments, it will primarily use solar power. When light is insufficient, it will rely on the included LR44 battery. This means that you don't need to manually switch between the power modes. The calculator will automatically adjust based on the lighting conditions. If you find that the calculator is not functioning or the display is not working, ensure that it is exposed to sufficient light or check the battery. If the battery needs to be replaced, follow the instructions in the manual to do so.
