To connect the BLACK+DECKER BCD6W Compact Dishwasher to the water supply, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the dishwasher is positioned near the existing inlet drain hoses and power cord in your kitchen.
2. Locate the quick connect assembly, which includes the inlet and drain hose, inside the dishwasher.
3. xxxx the faucet adapter onto (or into) the faucet tap. Make sure to check for leaks and use Teflon tape if necessary.
4. Connect the six-sided connection of the drain hose to the drain port connection on the back of the dishwasher cabinet. Do not over-tighten.
5. Connect the star-shaped connection of the inlet hose to the inlet port on the back of the dishwasher cabinet. Do not over-tighten.
6. Connect the circular connection of the drain hose to the longer (bottom) male connection on the quick connect.
7. Connect the circular connection of the inlet hose to the shorter (top) male connection on the quick connect.
8. Attach the quick connect onto the faucet adapter by pulling down the outer locking collar on the quick connect while pushing it upward onto the faucet adapter. Release the locking collar to secure the connection.
9. Slowly open the hot water line and check for any water leaks at all hose connections. If leaks are found, immediately close the water supply and repair the connections.
10. Once the water supply line is open, press and hold the red pressure-relief button on the quick connect to relieve water pressure from inside the inlet hose.
11. Close the faucet after use to prevent water from staying in the inlet hose.
