To set the tax rate on the Sharp EL-244W Electronic Calculator, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the calculator is turned on and ready for use.
2. Press the "SET %" key. This will display the current tax rate.
3. Enter the desired tax rate using the number keys. The tax rate can be up to four digits long, and the decimal point is not considered a digit.
4. Press the "SET %" key again to confirm and save the new tax rate.
5. The calculator is now set with the new tax rate, and you can use it for tax calculations.
Please note that the set tax rate will be retained until you change it again or if the battery runs out. It's important to ensure that the battery is functioning properly to avoid losing the set tax rate.
