To clear the display and reset the calculator, you can use the ON/C key. Pressing it once will clear the display. Pressing it twice will clear temporary memory values, except for "M" (independent memory), "tax rate," and "P/Y" (payment per year) memory. The icon "mthly" will flash when the payment per year is set to 12. Additionally, you can use the SHIFT OFF key to power off the calculator and clear all values except for the "tax rate," which will reset to 12.
