Loading the dishes in the SPT SD-9254SSA Stainless Steel Dishwasher is simple and straightforward. Here are some guidelines to follow:
1. Upper Basket: The upper basket is designed for cups, glasses, small plates, bowls, and plastic items marked dishwasher safe. Place these items with the soiled surfaces facing down or toward the center. Tilt them slightly for better drainage.
2. Bottom Basket: The bottom basket is for plates, soup bowls, saucers, and cookware. Load these items with their open sides facing downwards. The fold-down tines in the bottom basket can be used to accommodate larger items.
3. Silverware Basket: The silverware basket can be divided into three separate modules for spoons, knives, forks, and other utensils. Make sure that no items protrude through the bottom of the basket or block the lower spray arm.
4. Adding a Dish: If you need to add or remove items after the wash cycle starts, open the door slightly and wait for the wash action to stop before completely opening it. Add or remove the item and then close the door firmly within 4 seconds.
