To charge the battery pack of the Canon PowerShot SX540 digital camera, follow these steps:
1. Insert the battery pack: Align the marks on the battery pack and charger, then insert the battery pack by pushing it in and down until it clicks into place.
2. Charge the battery pack: Plug the power cord into the charger, then plug the other end into a power outlet. The charging lamp on the charger will turn orange, indicating that charging has started.
3. Wait for charging to complete: When the battery pack is fully charged, the charging lamp will turn green. This process may take some time, so it's recommended to leave the battery pack charging until the lamp turns green.
4. Remove the battery pack: Once charging is finished, remove the battery pack from the charger by pressing the battery lock in the direction of the arrow. The lock will click open, allowing you to remove the battery pack.
For more detailed information on charging time and the number of shots or recording time available with a fully charged battery pack, refer to the "Specifications" section in the downloadable Camera User Guide.
Note: It's important to use the provided charger and power cord to ensure proper charging and avoid any damage to the battery pack.
