Loading film negatives or slides into the QPIX DIGITAL PS970H scanner is a straightforward process. Here are the step-by-step instructions:
1. For slides:
a. Hold up the slide toward the light, with the trademark side facing away from you.
b. Look through the slide and ensure that the image appears normally (not a mirror image).
c. Turn the slide upside down while looking at the same side.
d. Open the slide holder at the marked spot on the top.
e. Lay the slide holder open and place the slide into the recessed area, ensuring it fits perfectly.
f. Close the slide holder and press the edges to lock it in place.
g. Insert the slide holder into the slot on the right side of the scanner.
2. For film negatives:
a. Hold up the negative toward the light, ensuring that you can read the small negative numbers normally (not a mirror image).
b. Turn the negative upside down while looking at the same side.
c. Open the negative holder at the marked spot on the top.
d. Lay the negative holder open and place the negative into the holder, aligning the notches on the negative with the notches on the holder.
e. Close the negative holder and press the edges to lock it in place.
f. Hold the negative holder in the position shown in the scanner.
g. Insert the negative holder into the slot on the right side of the scanner.
3. For photos:
a. Position the brackets on the photo tray according to the marked dimensions for your photo size.
b. Place the brackets into the slots and slide them downwards to secure them in place.
c. Insert the photo into the appropriately sized photo tray (5”x7”, 4”x6”, 3 ½”x5”, or name card).
d. Insert the photo tray into the photo tray slot from the top of the scanner.
