Performing a factory reset on the HP 50g Graphing Calculator can be done by following these steps:
1. Turn off the calculator by pressing and holding the ON key.
2. While holding the ON key, press and release the C key.
3. Continue holding the ON key until the screen displays "Pr Error."
4. Release the ON key and press and hold the right shift key (the key with the arrow pointing to the right).
5. While holding the right shift key, press and release the ON key.
6. Release the right shift key.
7. The calculator will display "Are you sure?" Press the left shift key (the key with the arrow pointing to the left) to confirm the reset.
8. The calculator will then perform the factory reset and restart.
Please note that performing a factory reset will erase all data and settings on the calculator, restoring it to its original state. Make sure to back up any important data before proceeding with the reset.
