To install the Pyle PLG6C Component Speaker System in your car, follow these steps:
1. Precautions:
- Before making holes, check the mounting space with the supplied template.
- Keep the wiring of this unit away from motors, high-voltage leads, and other possible noise sources.
- Keep all wiring away from moving parts and sharp edges.
- Make sure you have carefully read and understood the installation instructions.
2. Tools required:
- Electric drill with a bit
- Philips screwdriver
- Flat blade screwdriver
- Wire strippers
- Crimping tool
- Saber saw hole saw or nibbler
- Utility knife
- Silicon sealant or weather stripping (optional)
- Electrical tape
3. Installation of Tweeter:
- Flush Mount:
- Choose a proper installation point for the tweeters and make a 48mm diameter hole for flush mounting.
- Assemble the tweeters as per the provided drawing.
- Connect the wires before placing the tweeter into the flush mounting hole.
- Surface Mount:
- Choose a proper installation point for the tweeters.
- Assemble the tweeters as per the provided drawing.
- Place the tweeter into the bracket and rotate it clockwise until it locks into the bracket.
4. Crossover Instruction:
- Connect the wires coming from the crossover to the speaker, ensuring correct polarity.
5. Woofer Instruction:
- Using a mounting template, mark the correct mounting location for the speakers.
- Cut out the panel at the marking and drill 4 holes for the mounting bolts.
- Separate the grill mesh from the grill frame.
- Insert the grill frame and speaker unit into the speaker mounting hole at the rear panel and attach with the provided bolts and nuts.
- Put the grill mesh back with the grill frame.
