To connect the Alacrity MJ-2020R Industrial Barcode Scanner to your device, follow these steps:
1. Power Activation: Press the designated power button on the scanner to turn it on.
2. Establishing Connectivity: Depending on your device, you can connect the scanner via Bluetooth or a 433MHz wireless link.
- Bluetooth Connection: If you want to connect the scanner to a laptop, desktop, or smartphone, make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your device. Then, search for available Bluetooth devices and select the Alacrity MJ-2020R scanner from the list. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process.
- 433MHz Wireless Connection: If you want to connect the scanner to a desktop computer or laptop, ensure that the wireless dongle integrated into the scanner stand is connected to your computer via a wired connection. The scanner will transmit data to the dongle wirelessly, and the dongle will then transmit the data to the computer.
3. Scanning Procedures: Once the scanner is connected to your device, you can start scanning barcodes. Simply point the scanner at the barcode and press the scan button. Ensure that the scanner maintains proper alignment with the barcode for accurate scanning.
4. Immediate Data Transfer: In immediate upload mode, the scanned data is instantly transmitted to the connected device. Make sure the synchronization between the scanner and device is correctly established to facilitate accurate data transfer.
5. Storage Mode: If you are operating beyond the range of a wireless signal, you can activate storage mode. This mode stores all scanned data within the scanner's memory. After restoring the connection, you can upload the stored data to the device.
