Cleaning the sensors of the RBC-EP1600 Currency Discriminator is an important maintenance task to ensure accurate counting and counterfeit detection. Here is how you can clean the sensors:
1. Turn off the power switch and disconnect the power cord from the machine.
2. Use a soft brush to gently clean all the sensors in the machine. This will help remove any paper particles or dust that may be stuck to the sensors.
3. If necessary, you can also wipe the glass surfaces of the detectors with a soft cloth dampened with alcohol.
4. For optimal cleaning, Royal Sovereign recommends using their Cleaning Cards (RBC-CLN). With the machine on, simply run the cleaning card through the machine like a bill. This will clean the sensors of dirt and other contaminants. It is recommended to use the cleaning card after every 100 cycles.
Remember not to change the position of the detectors and optical sensors while cleaning. Regular sensor cleaning will help maintain the performance and longevity of your currency discriminator. For more information, refer to the "Daily Care" section of the operating manual.
