To install the WEBANG GFCI Outlet Tamper Resistant Receptacle, follow these steps:
1. Turn off power to the electrical circuit by switching off the corresponding circuit breaker in your electrical panel.
2. Carefully remove the existing outlet from the electrical box by unscrewing the mounting screws and disconnecting the wires.
3. Take the WEBANG GFCI Outlet Tamper Resistant Receptacle and identify the line and load terminals. The line terminals are for the incoming power supply, while the load terminals are for additional outlets or devices downstream.
4. Connect the line wires to the line terminals and the load wires to the load terminals. Ensure that the wires are securely tightened using a screwdriver.
5. Gently fold the connected wires into the electrical box, making sure they do not interfere with the receptacle's mounting.
6. Align the receptacle with the xxxx holes in the electrical box and secure it in place using the provided mounting screws.
7. Once the receptacle is securely mounted, turn on the power to the circuit by switching on the corresponding circuit breaker.
8. To test the GFCI function, press the "Test" button on the receptacle. The power should be disconnected, and the "Reset" button should pop out. Press the "Reset" button to restore power.
It is important to note that electrical work should be performed by a qualified electrician or someone with electrical expertise to ensure proper installation and adherence to local electrical codes and regulations.
