To install the battery in the West Bend 40005X Digital Magnetic Electronic Timer, follow these steps:
1. Press down on the clip on the back of the timer to expose the battery compartment cover.
2. Slide the battery compartment cover off to reveal the battery compartment.
3. Insert one triple A (AAA) battery into the compartment, making sure to match the plus (+) and minus (-) symbols on the battery with the corresponding symbols inside the compartment.
4. Replace the battery compartment cover.
5. Peel off the static label from the electronic display.
6. Your timer is now ready to use.
