To set the timer on the Jamar 63690 Long-Ring Electronic Timer, follow these steps:
1. Begin by inserting the included AAA battery into the timer if it's not already installed. Make sure the battery is properly oriented, following the +/- symbols.
2. Locate the numerical input buttons (0-9) on the timer's face. These buttons are used to input the desired time in minutes.
3. Press the numerical input buttons to enter the desired time. For example, if you want to set the timer for 15 minutes, press '1' and '5'.
4. Use the reset button to clear any previous settings and start over if needed.
5. After setting the desired time, press the "Start/Stop" button to initiate the countdown or count-up, depending on your chosen time setting.
6. If you need to pause or stop the timer during operation, press the "Start/Stop" button again. This will pause the timer.
7. Pressing the "Start/Stop" button again will resume the timer if it was paused.
8. When the timer reaches its set duration (either counting down to zero or counting up to the preset limit), it will emit a distinct ringing sound for 30 seconds. This alerts you that the set time has elapsed.
9. To reset the timer for another timing session, press the "Reset" button. This will clear the previous time setting, allowing you to input a new time duration.
