To cook white rice in the Zojirushi NS-WTC10 Micro-Computer Rice Cooker, follow these steps:
1. Measure the desired amount of white rice using the included measuring cup. Rinse the rice in cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.
2. Add the rinsed rice to the inner cooking pan of the rice cooker.
3. Add water to the inner cooking pan according to the desired rice texture. The water level markings on the inner cooking pan can guide you. For regular white rice, use the same cup measurement as the rice (e.g., 1 cup of rice requires 1 cup of water).
4. Close the lid securely.
5. Plug in the rice cooker and press the "Menu" button to select the "White Rice" setting. The LCD display will show the selected menu.
6. Use the "+" and "-" buttons to adjust the cooking time if desired. The default cooking time is set for regular white rice.
7. Press the "Start" button to begin the cooking process. The rice cooker will start cooking and the LCD display will show the countdown timer.
8. Once the rice is cooked, the rice cooker will automatically switch to the "Keep Warm" mode to keep the rice warm and fresh until you are ready to serve.
9. After cooking, wait for a few minutes before opening the lid to allow the rice to settle and fluff up.
10. Use a rice spatula to gently fluff and serve the cooked white rice.
