To change the battery in the AcuRite 00665E thermometer, follow these steps:
1. Locate the slot on the edge of the back cover of the thermometer.
2. Gently pry open the back cover to remove it.
3. Insert one (1) AAA standard alkaline battery into the battery compartment.
4. Make sure the battery is inserted correctly, with the positive (+) and negative (-) ends aligned properly.
5. Replace the back cover by aligning it with the slots on the thermometer and pressing it firmly until it snaps into place.
Please note that the AcuRite 00665E thermometer requires one AAA standard alkaline battery. It is not recommended to use heavy-duty or rechargeable batteries.
