To install the HP C4280 Photosmart Printer Scanner Copier, follow these steps:
1. Unpack the printer from the box and remove all packaging materials.
2. Connect the power cord to the printer and plug it into a power outlet.
3. Turn on the printer by pressing the power button.
4. Open the ink cartridge access door and wait for the ink carriage to move to the center of the printer.
5. Remove the plastic tape from the new ink cartridges and insert them into their respective slots. Make sure the black ink cartridge is inserted into the right slot and the tri-color ink cartridge is inserted into the left slot.
6. Close the ink cartridge access door.
7. Load plain paper into the input tray and adjust the paper width guides.
8. Install the software by inserting the software CD-ROM into your computer's CD/DVD drive. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the necessary drivers and software.
9. Once the software installation is complete, connect the printer to your computer using the provided USB cable. If the cable was not included, check the system requirements for cable connection options.
10. Your computer should detect the printer and complete the installation process.
