To connect the Sony HTX8500 Subwoofer Soundbar to your TV, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that both the soundbar and your TV are turned off.
2. Locate the HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) port on your TV and the HDMI OUT (TV ARC) port on the soundbar.
3. Connect one end of the included HDMI cable to the HDMI ARC port on your TV and the other end to the HDMI OUT (TV ARC) port on the soundbar.
4. Connect the AC power cord to the soundbar and plug it into a power outlet.
5. Turn on your TV and go to the settings menu to enable the HDMI ARC function. This may be labeled as "HDMI Control," "CEC," or "Simplink" depending on your TV brand.
6. Turn on the soundbar and select the HDMI input mode using the remote control or the buttons on the soundbar.
7. Adjust the volume on the soundbar and your TV to a comfortable level.
