To change the batteries in the Taylor 7084 scale, follow these steps:
1. Remove the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the scale.
2. Insert 3 AAA batteries into the battery compartments, making sure to match the "+" and "-" polarity symbols.
3. Replace the battery compartment cover.
4. If the scale displays "LO" or "Low Battery", or if the LCD readings become dim or irregular, it's time to replace all the batteries.
