1. Remove the container from the motor base and remove the lid.
2. Rinse the container interior and lid under running water.
3. Add a washing solution to the container and scrub the interior and lid to remove food residue. Empty the container.
4. Use a soft cloth or sponge dampened with the washing solution to wipe down the exterior of the container.
5. Wash the lid and lid insert in fresh washing solution.
6. Fill the container one-quarter full with fresh washing solution, cover it with the lid, place it on the motor base, and run it on the HI speed for two minutes. Empty the container.
7. Repeat step 6 using clean rinse water instead of the washing solution.
8. Wipe down the exterior of the container with a soft cloth or sponge dampened with sanitizing solution.
9. Fill the container with sanitizing solution, cover it, place it on the motor base, and run it on the HI speed for one minute. Empty the container.
10. Dislodge any residual moisture from the blade assembly by placing the empty container on the motor base and running it on the HI speed for two seconds.
11. Sanitize the lid and lid insert by immersing them in a sanitizing solution for two minutes.
12. Allow the container, lid, and lid insert to air-dry without rinsing.
It's important to note that the washing solution should be based on non-sudsing detergents, and the sanitizing solution should have a minimum chlorine concentration of 100 PPM. Make sure to follow the recommended dilution and temperature guidelines provided in the manual.
