To connect the Canon MX522 printer to a wireless network, please follow these steps:
1. Make sure the printer is placed near the access point (router) and your computer.
2. Remove any protective sheets and tape from the printer.
3. Open the front cover, paper output tray, and document cover of the printer.
4. Open the paper output cover.
5. Remove the orange tape and protective material from the printer.
6. Close the paper output cover and document cover.
7. Connect the power cord to the printer, but do not connect the USB or Ethernet cable yet.
8. Press the ON button to turn on the printer.
9. Select your language on the printer's display and press the OK button. Use the Back button to change the language if needed.
10. When the setup screen is displayed, press the OK button.
11. Open the paper output tray and cover of the printer.
12. Lower the ink cartridge lock lever. The left side is for the color cartridge, and the right side is for the black cartridge.
13. Unpack the ink cartridges and remove the protective tape. Be careful not to touch the ink on the tape.
14. Insert the ink cartridges into their respective slots until they stop. Avoid knocking them against the sides.
15. Lift the ink cartridge lock lever.
16. Repeat steps 12 to 15 for any additional ink cartridges.
17. Close the paper output cover and wait for about 1 to 2 minutes until the setup screen disappears.
18. If an error message appears, check that the ink cartridges are installed correctly.
Once the printer is set up physically, you can proceed to connect it to your wireless network by following these steps:
1. On the printer's display, select "Start setup" to connect to the wireless LAN.
2. If you do not want to connect wirelessly, you can select "Cancel for now" and proceed with other connection options.
3. If you choose to connect wirelessly, the printer will guide you through the on-screen instructions.
4. Insert the provided CD-ROM into your computer.
5. If a USB cable is already connected, unplug it. If a message appears on your computer, click "Cancel."
6. Follow the on-screen instructions on your computer to proceed with the wireless setup.
7. The setup process may vary depending on your operating system (Windows or macOS). Refer to the on-screen instructions for specific steps.
8. Once the setup is complete, you should be able to print wirelessly from your computer and other devices connected to the same network.
