To set up the Canon MG2120 wireless printer with scanner, follow these steps:
1. Place the machine near the computer.
2. Check the included items: power cord, manuals and other documents, FINE cartridges, and setup CD-ROM. Note that a USB cable is not included and will be required.
3. Remove any tape from the printer.
4. Open the front cover and the paper output tray.
5. Open the paper output cover and remove the orange tape. Close the paper output cover.
6. Connect the power cord, but do not connect the USB cable yet.
7. Press the ON button. If "E > 4 > 0" is displayed on the LED, press the ON button again to turn off the machine and start from step 2.
8. Check that the paper lamp is lit.
9. Open the paper output tray and the paper output cover.
10. Lower the ink cartridge lock lever.
11. Install the color FINE cartridge to the left and black to the right. Unpack the FINE cartridge and remove the protective tape, being careful of any ink on the tape.
12. Insert the FINE cartridge until it stops, making sure not to knock it against the sides.
13. Lift the ink cartridge lock lever.
14. Repeat steps 10 to 13 to install the other FINE cartridge.
15. Close the paper output cover. After about 20 seconds, check that screen 2 is displayed.
16. If the alarm lamp is lit orange, check that the FINE cartridge is installed correctly.
17. The LED will turn off if the machine is not operated for about 5 minutes. To restore the display, press any button (except the ON button) on the operation panel.
