To calibrate the CDN IRXL400 Deep Fry Thermometer, follow these steps:
1. Fill a glass with ice cubes and add water until the glass is full.
2. Insert the thermometer stem into the ice water, making sure the dimple or higher on the stem is submerged.
3. Wait for the temperature reading to stabilize. It should read 32°F (0°C) in the ice water.
4. If the reading is not 32°F (0°C), use a small wrench or pliers to adjust the calibration nut located on the back of the dial.
5. Turn the calibration nut clockwise to increase the temperature reading or counterclockwise to decrease it.
6. Repeat steps 2-5 until the thermometer reads 32°F (0°C) in the ice water.
7. Once calibrated, the thermometer is ready to use.
Note: It is recommended to calibrate the thermometer periodically to ensure accurate temperature readings.
