To set up the La Crosse Technology 327-1417V3 Color Wind Speed Weather Station, follow these steps:
1. Power up the weather station by inserting 2-AA batteries into the Thermo-Hygro Sensor and 2-C batteries into the Wind Speed Sensor. You can also use the 5-volt power cord for backup by inserting it into the outlet and then into the weather station.
2. Adjust the time and date settings on the weather station.
3. Once both sensor readings are displayed, place the Thermo-Hygro Sensor and Wind Speed Sensor outside.
4. To enter the Settings Menu, hold the SET button. Use the + or -/CH button to adjust settings and press SET to confirm. Press the LIGHT button to exit.
5. The Settings Menu includes options such as Beep ON/OFF, Atomic ON/OFF, Time Zone, DST ON/OFF, 12Hr/24Hr Format, Hour, Minutes, Year, Month, Date, Temperature Fahrenheit/Celsius, and Wind Speed MPH/KMH.
6. To set alerts, hold the ALERTS button for two seconds. Use the + or -/CH button to adjust values and press ALERTS to confirm.
7. To search for the Wind Speed Sensor, hold the WIND button for three seconds. Press WIND to view Wind Speed History for different time intervals. Hold the -/CH button to reset Wind Speed History.
8. To search for the Thermo-Hygro Sensor, hold the TEMP button for three seconds. Press TEMP to view HI/LO Temperature & Humidity Records, Feels Like Records, and Dew Point. Hold the -/CH button to reset records.
9. Use the -/CH button to toggle between channels when multiple sensors are used. Hold the -/CH button to reset Wind Speed History or HI/LO Records.
10. Use the LIGHT button to adjust the backlight and exit any Settings Menu.
11. To perform a factory reset, hold the ALERTS and LIGHT buttons until the display resets.
