To clean your heated electric blanket, it is recommended to follow the instructions provided in the user manual. Here are the general steps for cleaning:
1. Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet and detach the control cord from the heated blanket.
2. Ensure that no cords are still connected and none of the wires have worn through the fabric.
3. Pre-soak the blanket in mild soap and cold water for 15 minutes.
4. Wash the blanket in mild soap and cold water on the delicate or gentle cycle in the washer for two minutes. Do not use bleach.
5. Rinse the blanket in fresh, cold water.
6. Spin dry the blanket in the washing machine and gently stretch it to its original size.
7. Preheat the dryer on the low temperature setting for 2 minutes.
8. Place the blanket in the dryer and tumble dry for 10 minutes at a low temperature.
9. Remove the blanket while it is still damp and gently stretch it to its original size.
10. Drape the blanket over a clothesline or shower rod to air dry. Do not use clothespins.
11. The blanket must be completely dry before reconnecting the power plug or control plug.
