To clean and maintain your Wapaneus Heated Throw Electric Blanket, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect the power cord from the wall before detaching the control cord from the heated product.
2. Ensure that no cords are still connected and none of the wires have worn through the fabric.
3. Carefully follow all washing instructions to avoid shrinking the blanket and causing a fire hazard.
4. Do not submerge the control in water.
5. Do not dry clean the blanket, as dry cleaning solvents may damage the wires.
6. Do not use bleach or cleaning fluids.
7. Do not use a wringer or iron the blanket.
8. Do not use mothballs or sprays of any kind.
9. Do not reconnect the blanket or use it until it is completely dry.
10. Do not wash or put the power cord or any of the product's cords into water.
Machine Washing:
- Pre-soak the blanket/throw for 15 minutes in mild soap and cold water.
- Wash in mild soap and cold water on the "delicate" or "gentle" cycle in the washer for two minutes. Do not use bleach.
- Rinse in fresh, cold water.
- Spin dry in the washing machine, then gently stretch it to its original size.
Machine Drying:
- Preheat the dryer on the "low" temperature setting for 2 minutes.
- Place the blanket/throw into the dryer and tumble dry for 10 minutes at a low temperature.
- Remove the blanket/throw while it is still damp and gently stretch it to its original size.
- Drape the blanket/throw over a clothesline or shower rod to air dry. Do not use clothespins.
Hand Drying:
- Gently stretch the blanket/throw back to its original size.
- Drape the blanket/throw over a clothesline or hang it over a shower rod. Do not use clothespins.
- The blanket/throw must be completely dry before reconnecting the power plug or using it.
