To wash and care for the Sunbeam BSM9KKS-R825-16A00 Heated Bedding, follow these steps:
1. Before washing or storing the heated bedding, disconnect the power cord from the wall and ensure that no cords are still connected or any wires have worn through the fabric.
2. Pre-soak the blanket/mattress pad/throw for 15 minutes in mild soap and cold water.
3. Wash in mild soap and cold water on the "delicate" or "gentle" cycle in the washer for two minutes. Do not use bleach.
4. Rinse in fresh, cold water.
5. Spin dry in the washing machine, then gently stretch the bedding to its original size.
6. Preheat the dryer on the "low" temperature setting for 2 minutes.
7. Place the bedding into the dryer and tumble dry for 10 minutes at a low temperature.
8. Remove the bedding while it is still damp and gently stretch it to its original size.
9. Drape the bedding over a clothesline or a shower rod to finish drying. Do not use clothespins.
10. The bedding must be completely dry before reconnecting the power plug or control plug.
Note: Do not dry clean, iron, or use mothballs or sprays on the heated bedding. Do not wash or put the power cord or any of the product's cords into water.
