1. Make sure the appliance is switched off and not plugged into an electrical outlet before assembly or disassembly.
2. Refer to the assembly diagram on page 11 (Figure A) of the instruction manual for reference.
3. Place the machine base/stand (S700K) on a flat and sturdy counter or table.
4. Insert the drive gear (S700H) into the base.
5. Align and insert the exterior bowl (S700E) into the drive gear.
6. Align and insert the gear hoop (S700D) into the exterior bowl.
7. Align and insert the interior bowl (S700C) into the exterior bowl. You may need to slowly spin the interior bowl to ensure a proper fit.
8. Secure the interior bowl to the exterior bowl by inserting and turning the securing nut (S700B) clockwise in the center of the interior bowl.
9. Place an empty bowl (not supplied) below the exterior bowl to collect the shaved ice.
10. Fill the interior bowl with fully frozen household ice cubes. The ice should be level with the top of the bowl.
11. Place the clear lid (S700A) on top of the interior bowl, aligning the lid's flange.
12. To shave ice, turn the lid counter-clockwise until the flange activates the safety switch.
13. To stop shaving ice, turn the lid clockwise to deactivate the safety switch.
14. After each use, unplug the ice shaver from the power supply.
15. For cleaning, dismantle the appliance in reverse order of the assembly procedure.
16. Use caution while cleaning and pay special attention to the ice shaver blade. Avoid contact with the blade to prevent injury.
17. The motor unit can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth, but do not soak or immerse it in water or other liquids.
