To clean the Chef Buddy 82-SW100 Panini Press Sandwich Maker, always unplug it and allow it to cool before cleaning. The unit is easier to clean when slightly warm. Do not disassemble the Panini Press for cleaning and never immerse it in water or place it in the dishwasher.
To clean the cooking plates, wipe them with a soft cloth to remove food residue. For baked-on food residue, you can squeeze some warm water mixed with detergent over the residue and clean it with a non-abrasive plastic scouring pad. Alternatively, you can place wet kitchen paper over the grill to moisten the residue.
Avoid using anything abrasive that can scratch or damage the non-stick coating. Also, do not use metal utensils to remove your food, as they can damage the non-stick surface.
For the outside of the Panini Press, wipe it with a damp cloth only. Do not use any abrasive scouring pad or steel wool, as this will damage the finish. Do not immerse the Panini Press in water or any other liquid.
After each use, remove and empty the drip tray and wash it in warm, soapy water. Avoid using scouring pads or harsh detergents, as they may damage the surface. Rinse and dry the drip tray thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth before replacing it.
