To clean the Nostalgia HDT600RETRORED Pop-Up Hot Dog Toaster, make sure the unit is unplugged and all parts have cooled down. Here are the steps to clean the toaster:
1. Lift the toaster by the handles only.
2. Clean the outer surface of the toaster with a soft damp cloth when it is unplugged and completely cooled.
3. Use soapy water to clean the hot dog basket and tongs before and after use.
4. Unplug the toaster and remove the crumb tray from the base. Clean the crumb tray regularly by blowing or gently shaking out the crumbs.
5. Do not operate the toaster without at least one hot dog and/or one bun in place.
6. Never use the toaster without the hot dog basket, bun basket, and crumb tray in place.
Please note that the Nostalgia HDT600RETRORED Pop-Up Hot Dog Toaster should not be placed in a dishwasher. Follow these cleaning instructions to ensure the longevity and proper functioning of your toaster.
