To assemble the Cuisinart DLC-1 Mini PREP Food Processor, follow these steps:
1. Place the Motor Base on a flat, dry, stable surface near an electrical outlet.
2. Locate the Prep Bowl part number on the bottom of the Prep Bowl and place it on the motor base with the part number slightly to the left of center.
3. Rotate the Prep Bowl counterclockwise until it locks and clicks into position, following the direction of the Bowl Lock arrows printed on the motor base.
4. Connect the Blade Assembly to the Blade Sheath, holding it by the central hub holding ribs (grips) only. There are two ways to assemble the blade: with the sharp edge up or the blunt edge up. Choose the appropriate edge for your food processing needs.
5. Place the Sheath, handle side up, on a flat surface. Pick up the Blade Assembly by its hub holding ribs (grips) and line up the notches in the interior of the hub with the ridges on the sides of the Sheath. Let the Blade Assembly slide down to the bottom of the Sheath.
6. Lift the Sheath by its handle and turn the Blade Assembly slightly clockwise to lock it in place on the Sheath.
7. Hold the Sheath by its top handle and place it over the central opening of the Prep Bowl. Slide the Sheath down over the motor shaft, ensuring that the lower blade on the Blade Assembly almost touches the bottom of the Prep Bowl.
8. Hold the cover by its handle on the top and turn it counterclockwise until the descending tab on the back locks into the slot on the column of the Motor Base. Ensure that the tab fully engages in the slot for the motor to start.
9. Plug the cord into an electrical outlet.
10. You can now use the Mini-Prep Food Processor for processing food.
