Calibrating the Tanita FitScan KF-200 Digital Kitchen Scale is a simple process. Here are the steps to follow:
1. Place the scale on a stable and flat surface.
2. Ensure that the scale is turned off.
3. Press and hold the ON button for a few seconds until the display shows "CAL" followed by a number.
4. Release the ON button and wait for the display to show "0.00" or "0 g".
5. Place a known weight object on the scale that matches the calibration weight specified in the user manual. Make sure the weight is evenly distributed on the scale platform.
6. Wait for a few seconds until the scale stabilizes and displays the weight of the calibration object.
7. Press the ON button to confirm the calibration. The display will show "PASS" if the calibration is successful.
8. Remove the calibration weight from the scale.
9. The scale is now calibrated and ready to use.
It is recommended to recalibrate the scale periodically to ensure accurate measurements. Refer to the user manual for the recommended calibration weight and any additional instructions specific to your model.
