Cleaning the Severin SM 3718 Electric Blender is an important step to maintain its performance and longevity. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to clean the blender:
1. Always remove the plug from the wall socket before cleaning the appliance.
2. To clean the motor housing, use a slightly damp, lint-free cloth. Do not use liquids or immerse the motor housing in water.
3. For cleaning the blender jug, lid, and stopper, fill the jug with approximately 1000 ml of warm water and a mild cleaning detergent.
4. Let the appliance run for a short period by selecting the desired power setting on the rotary control.
5. After running the appliance, rinse the blender jug, lid, and stopper with fresh water.
6. Thoroughly dry all parts before reassembling or storing.
7. If necessary, the sealing gasket on the lid can be removed for cleaning. Make sure to position the cut-outs in the gasket directly over the openings in the lid before using the appliance again.
8. If required, the blade can be detached for cleaning. Remove the drive coupling from the inside of the mixing bowl by turning it clockwise and lifting it out. Clean the gasket and blade with a brush. To reassemble, put the gasket back onto the drive coupling and fit the assembly back onto the bottom of the jug, turning it counter-clockwise until it locks safely in place.
