To set up and customize the Weight Watchers WW701Y Digital Smart Bathroom Scale, follow these steps:
1. Remove all packaging materials from the scale.
2. Remove the isolator tab from the battery compartment. This tab may be located at the bottom of the scale or inside the battery compartment. Gently pull out the tab to activate the scale. If the tab cannot be pulled out or the display does not light up, remove the battery cover using a screwdriver, remove the isolator tab, and then replace the battery cover.
3. Tap the scale with your foot to turn it on. The display will light up.
4. Set the switch on the base of the scale to measure in pounds (lb) or kilograms (kg), depending on your preference.
5. Wait until the display shows "0.0" to indicate that the scale is ready for use.
6. To customize your user data, press the "Set" button. The number "P-01" will appear and blink. Use the Up/Down buttons to select a user number from P-01 to P-4. Press the "Set" button to confirm your selection.
7. The scale will then prompt you to set your height. The default unit of measurement is inches for lb mode and centimeters for kg mode. Use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the height and press the "Set" button to accept.
8. Next, set your age. The default age is 25. Use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the age and press the "Set" button to confirm.
9. The scale will then prompt you to set your gender. Use the Up/Down buttons to choose between male and female and press the "Set" button to confirm.
10. Once your gender is set, the scale will display your stored data, including user number, height, gender, and age, for a few seconds.
11. The scale is now ready for use. Step on the scale barefoot with your feet aligned on the electrodes (metal strips) on both sides of the platform. The scale will display your weight, body fat percentage, body water percentage, bone mass value, and BMI (Body Mass Index) score.
Note: If you step on the scale before "0.0" appears, the scale may not function properly. The scale will show "Err" if there is improper foot contact or if you are wearing socks or shoes. Ensure proper contact with the electrodes by moisturizing your feet if necessary.
